1999 Pontiac Grand Am GT 1 review from North America
"The car has been mostly trouble free- except for now.."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
When we first got the vehicle, the front brake rotors had to be replaced at both 10,000 miles, and again at 20,000 miles due to pulsation conditions. The first replacement was covered under warranty, the second one we had to pay for, though it was a known problem. I have since replaced these rotors with after market rotors and have had no problems since.
The intake manifold leaked both coolant and oil and needed to be replaced.
We are noticing the passengers side floor wet at times.
The transmission just started slamming into gears (between 2-3 mostly)
General comments?
This car is a lot of fun to drive, though you do feel squashed into the cabin.
The controls are in great spots- but the cup holder is the most asinine design- the shifter hits it constantly and you can't put the vehicle into park with a drink in the holder- there is no room.
