What things have gone wrong with the car?
The left front tire makes a grinding noise which sounds like the brake pads against the rotors. However, this only happens at low speeds.
General comments?
Overall I love the car. The only thing is I wish that Pontiac would do something about the tires. I have the Goodyear RSA tires and have been told that they are to blame for the noise. I pulled the tires myself to check the rotors and pads for excessive wear, and saw that everything was OK. Also I've noticed that when driving in the rain, the noise goes away. I'm wondering if anyone out there has had better luck with another brand of tires. I've gone as far as contacting Goodyear about the problem, and their only suggestion was to buy tires of another brand.
Another thing I would like to state is that I've read several reviews, each complaining about the tires and the performance of the car. I have to say that number one to spin the tires, you have to turn the traction control off. (DUH!) As for the performance, if you don't like the fact that the motor has a governor in it, you can go to the dealership and request that they put a performance chip in the computer and reprogram it. I did this and now the car will bury the speedometer without even breaking a sweat. Not to mention that I've run in the high 11's in the quarter mile.
