1998 Pontiac Grand Am SE review from North America
"A lot of bang for your buck"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Previous to me owning the car, it developed a transmission leak. The repair was covered by the warranty and repaired at the dealer.
I haven't owned the car for a long time, but at 56000 it is in superb condition.
There was a period right after I bought it that the Anti-Lock brake light would come on after going over speed bumps. In conjunction the Enhanced Traction light would come on as well. It turned out to be just a loose wheel sensor. The problem has not reoccurred.
General comments?
The car is fun to drive.
The suspension is great around corners.
Acceleration for a four cylinder engine is impressive.
Very comfortable ride.
