1999 Pontiac Grand Am SE review from North America
"I will never buy a Grand AM again"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
In the rear windows the covering is separating from the door.
I have replaced the alternator three times in the last two years.
I have gone through two batteries.
Now I have a blown head gasket and the engine has to be overhauled. This costs about $2,000!!!
I go through rotors about every 9 months.
The driver side window regulator is busted.
The car lighter does not work.
The turn signal blinks fast.
The radio display shows funky numbers if it is humid or hot.
The black plastic guard in under the front of the car busted in a week.
General comments?
This car has been one nightmare after another. I hate this car. It seems like it is a fun sporty, but family car, but it is no where near it. It cost more to change the oil, it doesn't get good gas mileage, and can be a real thorn in my side.
