1989 Pontiac Grand Am LE review from North America
"Excellent, economic, long lasting, dependable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Actually, this is a good review.
My car still has its original engine, transmission, stereo.
I've replaced the alternator twice and the valve cover gasket in the engine to stop oil leaks. I've put on new distributor wires. And the muffler fell off about 75,000 miles ago.
But all parts were inexpensive and easy to replace.
General comments?
I have put some hard miles on this car. It has plenty of highway miles as well as off road miles. I've taken it into minor mud fields, put it in reverse and spun mud up all over it MANY TIMES.
Yet she still starts every morning and gets me from point A to point B. She's still as quick as the day I bought her and shows no sign of stopping.
I'll buy Pontiac again. 234,000 miles can't be wrong.
