1993 Pontiac Grand Am SE 2-door review from North America
"When in good condition these are fun to drive whannabe sport coupes"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
103,500 electric fan motor died.
105,500 both radiator tanks cracked losted all coolant in about 20 seconds.
Alternators and brakes all the time.
140,000 Harmonic balancer broke, checkout the price on that part.
167,500 Just the regular stuff shocks, fuel pump, tires.
General comments?
As long as the a/c is off and the engine is operating at below 210 on the temperature gauge it's quick. Try leaving the automatic in 1st all the way to the 55OO rpm redline, you be at 60 mph right as into 2nd with the 3.3 V6 3 speed. Also with the automatic you can drop into first at any speed below 55 mph to pass great.
Handles OK with SE suspension. Brakes are Horrible though, but these cars don't cost much either.
