1992 Pontiac Grand Am SE review from North America
"If you treat it well, it will return the favor"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
All occurrences were near 100,000 miles:
Ignition module went out.
Replaced shocks and struts.
Starter went out.
Exhaust pipe rattles.
Needs to be warmed up a few minutes.
Inside dash panels and inside door panels creak and vibrate when driving.
Driver side outside door panel clips broke off.
Trunk switch does not work.
Serpentine belt was replaced.
Tires replaced.
Front right motor mount has gone bad.
General comments?
All of those things mentioned as went wrong with the car were just because of "wear and tear." It is only at about 100,000 miles and with car check-ups and regular oil changes you can't go wrong.
Comfortable seats and a little get up and go, you just can't lose with this car.
Gas mileage is great.
Stock radio is very nice.
Air conditioner and heater work fine and so does the defroster.
Paint is holding up very well for a GM car.
The car does not over heat at all and nothing leaks.
The car isn't very fast. After 60 mph it slowly climbs the ladder. But hey it is only 4 cylinders, what do you expect?
It can eat civic hatchbacks alive.
This is a great all around car.
