1999 Pontiac Grand Am SE review from North America
"Great car for the money. Knock on wood"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Front coil springs broke in half, one at a 110,000 km the other at 120,000.
Radio display screws up occasionally.
First brake job done at 110,000 km. Front only. Rear brakes still good.
First set of new tires installed at 110,000 km.
First new battery was installed at 115,000 km.
First set of plugs installed at 120,000 km.
Oil and filter done every 5,000 km. Fuel and air filter checked and replaced as necessary.
One out of 60 vehicles flash me with their brights at night when I don't have my brights on. Headlight aim may be off a little.
General comments?
Up until now car has been reliable with no serious problems other than coil springs.
Car is quick and handles quite well. Much better than my Le Baron Turbo Coupe.
