"I think I have a lemon"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

When I picked the car up the wipers didn't work so I had to bring the car in.

The dealer installed a car wash and they painted the inside of it white and there was white over spray all over the car and not its looks really bad because there is swirl marks in it and the car is black.

The blower motor stopped working and the bumpers were falling off.

Has a bad ruff idle that they say is normal.

Really bad wind noise from the back doors.

General comments?

It's a good little car goes through anything its just the little repairs that gets old.

I think they need to install a bigger gas tank and a better charging system. When you get the headlights on and the heat and your rear defrost it brings the power down alot where your dash lights or really dim

Well my car is back in the shop again. This time the window trim fell off and there was something in the door that took big chunks out of the glass when you would roll it down. check back in two weeks because I'm sure I will be adding more problems.

It sounds like you really bought a lemon. How in the world is the bumper falling off? As far as the swirl marks in the paint usually you have to use a very soft towel when drying the car after a car wash. Also do not use bristly brushes at the wash. I have a 2003 black grand am also and I've had mine for 2 years and still look brand new it depends on how you wash the car and how you dry it.

The steam coming out the vents is due to the humidity levels. Mine also blows out mist mostly during the summer when it's really humid, but usually stops after 5 minutes after use of the a/c. I also have a musty stale smell that comes from the vents usually the smell go away after about a minute or so. Also you might have a blown fuse if the defroster is not working.

Well I'm back again with an update. my car has been in the shop yet again. with only 5 thousands miles on it now this week the fuel pump went out of it, the radio started to make a odd popping sound in the dash and it stopped working, my moonroof is leaking (AGAIN). This car is a lemon. GM really needs to improve the qual of their cars. I'm sure I will be back in 2 weeks with another update.

The swirl marks are from the body shop buffing white over spray off the car because they are building a new car wash and when they painted it white paint went all over the cars in the lot. 200 dollars later it looks show room new.

From what your dealer says it sounds like something may have been done to this car prior to you buying it. This rough idle that they say is normal is not normal. Sounds like this dealer does not know what they are doing or what they are talking about, and maybe all these repairs they are doing they are screwing up the repairs and messing up other stuff.

I would do some more investigation into your dealer and the quality of the repairs going on before bashing Pontiac. Or, you may have a lemon, but usually they aren't this bad... something doesn't add up here...
