1999 Pontiac Grand Am SE review from North America
"These cars are junk because the majority of the owners have the same problems with them."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
3 months after I bought the car I had to replace the brakes and rotors. I have changed them 4 times now. I have replaced an alternator, water pump, heat/air fan dial doesn't work on 1 and 2 and worst of all I had to change the engine with an engine with 45,000 less miles because mine blew due to head gaskets. Now I have to change a tie rod end that has been going bad for some time now.
General comments?
I feel with being a single mom of 2 children and one disabled child, I got taken advantage of by Pontiac. I made my payments and now feel that they put a car together as cheap as they could and jacked up the price to make a huge profit. Why should they care about the consumers as long as they get their money. I use to refuse to buy anything, but American made. Now I will never in my life purchase another Pontiac. I use to love them.
