What things have gone wrong with the car?
Brakes, pads, calipers, window motors, heads cracked, valve cover gasket, head gasket, water leak, alternator replaced, water pump replaced, molding around windows coming loose, continuing problems, too many to list.
General comments?
This car is nothing, but a problem. I had to have the rotors, calipers and brake pads replaced at 4,000 miles because of noise in front and vibration. The dealer replaced them 4 more times after that under warranty. I learned not to use a impact wrench when replacing the tires torque the lug nuts down. I had to replace the alternator after driving at night and the car quit on me. I have had to replace the water pump. I had a radiator leak and had to replace the valve cover gasket. 8,000 miles after replacing valve cover gasket car started leaking again, had to replace head gasket and valve cover gasket. Heads had to be machined. Heads now have a crack in them, going to have to replace heads. Had to replace front drive side window regulator and now the right passenger side window motor is bad. I can't find a regulator for it anywhere everyone is out of stock. Must be a real problem.
I am going to buy a New Honda Next Year. Would never buy a Grand Am again. Horrible car, has been a real nightmare.
