Lets see nothing major has gone wrong with this car that wasn't forced upon. The power steering pump broke due to the fact that I was blowing cookies in a parking lot and cut the wheel too hard. Since I've had it breaks and tires ahve only been replaced twice, foudn good tires nad stuck with them. Alternator died due to the fact that the battery has been drained quite a few times and then replenshied. Fuel pump went. And because the fuel pump was going the car would shut itself down in order to save the fuel pump. so you would have to sit on the side of the road for awhile and then attempt to restart the car. I've gotten my car up to 140mph with little vibration or wobbling if you will.
This car is great. I don't have a single complaint. For all those people that have had a bad apple. Sorry to hear that because not all cars are built solid. there is always going to be the defective cars in teh group. This car has ran beautifully since I have had it. it's well taken car of and even driven in the winter time and still have no problems. I wouldn't be surprised if this car ran for another 100k miles. I would suggest this car for anyone it has a lot of power, but has class. It's easy to upgrade and mod as well as fix if you know what you are doing.
There is no way you got it to 140 its electronically limited at 108...and even with a computer chip to take the limiter off it won't do 140.
Check your facts. Maybe your Civic is limited at 108mph (by the engine, not a computer), but not a GM car. A GM truck might be limited at 100 or so, but most of their passenger cars I've seen are limited at 125. Can't say where the Grand Am stops, but please, just because your Honda can't pass 108 doesn't mean a 3.4L Grand Am can't.
Many GM cars are electronically limited to 108 mph. My Grand Am SE governs out at roughtly 175 km/h. The Grand Am GT does limit at closer to 130 mph. My parents Bonneville is also limited to 108 mph. One can have this limit removed by upgrading the pcm, but why bother? If your going that fast on a public road your going to hurt someone. And you never reach that high of a trap speed at the drag strip unless youve done some serious work.
