"I won't every buy another pontiac!! or any GM product"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Master cylinder,

squeeky brakes,

noisy front end,

always has a wet smell from drivers door, since brand new.

Had to replace parts on the bottom of the drivers seat.

General comments?

Car has been great on mileage.

I've had to put more money into having the car repaired then what I'm paying for it.

The warranty for the vehicle doesn't cover squat!

60,000 mile warranty... For What?!!!

- I agree! I have been driving GM cars since 1959 but my next car is going to be German...Audi, most likely.

So let me get this straight: you don't like your Ponitac becuase of maintenance issues and you beleve that your situation will improve if you buy an Audi? I hope everything works out for you, but German cars are notoriously expensive to maintain. Make friends with your local mechanic. Hopefully he'll work for beer.

I hope you have a huge bank account to pay for all the repairs!! My Grand Am has yet to cost me one cent in repairs in 50,000 miles. Just getting an Audi's recommended servicing performed will cost half of what I paid for my Grand AM!!

We have the 60,000 mile extended GM warranty and our dealer has covered absolutely EVERYTHING under this warranty, including really small, nitpicky stuff. It sounds as if you have a really bad dealership. Don't blame the car. It's not the car's fault that that your dealership employs guys with a double-digit IQ. If they won't honor the warranty, I'd file a complaint with the BBB. The extended warranty is a binding legal contract, and by law they HAVE to honor it.

I have an 03 Pontiac Grand Am with 125,000 miles on it and have have it since it was new. The only thing I ever done to it, was put in a new fuel pump. 125,000 miles of fuel is a lot of pumping! I have hit a deer at 75 m.p.h. and barely cracked the bumper. 2 weeks ago I had a colision with another car head on, going around a slick corner. To make a long story short all the damage was a broken bumper that was already broken, RF fender, RR corner panel. With the use of duct tape, my car still drives straight purrs like it did when it was new. To top it off I get 32 m.p.g. I use 91 octain ALL THE TIME, 5-30 vavoline, extended performance-good for 15,000 miles!,and routine trany fliud. I take care of my belongings, If you want to own a vehicle and expect it to last, take care of it. maitnence is apart of owning a vehicle. Grand Am's are good cars. suck you had trouble with yours...
