2004 Pontiac Grand Am SE1 review from North America
"Very fun, yet can be a real pain"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Transmission blew out 3 times - at 2,000, 5,000 and 36,000 miles.
Cruse control stopped working.
Dome light does not light up when the rear passenger side door is opened.
Have lost the entire dash board for random amounts of time.
ABS is acting up causing the entire car to shake during braking.
General comments?
For a little 3.4, the car is very quick. It beats out most other V6 cars that are naturally aspired.
The car handles like a dream. Very smooth ride.
Transmission is rated at 220hp, and all it took for me to reach that limit was a custom exhaust and a cold air intake.
GM decided that it would make the factory radio part of the computer system, so if you take it out of the car, it wreaks havoc on the computer after a while.
