1997 Pontiac Grand Am review from North America
What things have gone wrong with the car?
1997 Pontiac Grand AM, I have never seen a car so bad. One week later after purchasing this car.
The key got stuck in the ignition, the reason for that happening was the shift interlock solenoid needed to be replaced which costed $200.00
brake pads 80.00
The ignition twice 300.00 each time
ABS light coming on constantly along with the LOW TRAC LIGHT, that is a major problem had it fixed many times and it is still coming on, I refuse to keep puting more money into that light.
The alternator went cost 125.00 very bad electrical problems in this car as well. Windows move slow.
Then the car shaking really bad when I would put it in reverse, so I brought it in and I needed 2 rear wheel cyclinders, 1 metric bubble flair line,1 rear brake shoe,2 turn drums, 207.00
water pump -181.00
wheel stabilizer-65.00
speed sensor- 173.00.
I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER GM VEHICLE EVER AGAIN! I'm GOING FOREIGN THEY ARE MUCH BETTER THAN PONTIAC! THIS CAR IS NOTHING, but A WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME AND DRAINED MY CHECKBOOK FASTER THAN I COULD PUT MONEY IN. I WOULD NOT GIVE THIS CAR TO MY WORST ENEMY.
