1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GT review from North America
"Another screamer from Pontiac!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have had no problems with the car except general
wear and tear. I put things like a programmer and a chip with awesome results!
General comments?
There is no shortage of things I liked about the car. Stock, the 3800 V6 puts out 200 hp @ 5200 rpm and 225 ft-lbs of torque @ 4000 rpm. It put out 270 hp and 275 ft-lbs of torque after the upgrades. The car would run 0-60 in 6.6 sec and spank the quarter mile in 13.4 sec.
Even with Traction Control, the car wanted to spin the tires all the time.
Factory Delco sound system put out very good sound (Good bass quality)
Silvermist metallic paint added a lot of sport to the car.
Cloth bucket seats were very supportive.
Widetrack handling is amazing; I could take a 40 mph exit ramp at 80 with virtually no body lean.
Did I mention this thing was fast? It showed Camaros and Mustangs nothing but taillights.
Red gauges were easy on the eyes at night.
