1998 Pontiac Grand Prix GT review from North America

"Best car I have ever bought actually!!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Drivers Power Window Regulator/Motor went out and the radio shorts out sometimes. that's it.

General comments?

When I bought my 1st 98 Grand Prix GT I replaced the brake pads, rotors, struts/mounts all the way around, a coolant and transmission flush, new battery, a few lightbulbs and the car ran like a champ until I crashed it. I knew who owned it before me and how she drove it and where, how it was maintained and it's reliability. It had been drivin hard on dirt roads and survived a lot. I actually crashed that last week (Dec 16th) and I bought another 98 Grand Prix GT today (Dec 21st) only this car has 267,175 miles! Yeah! Power Everything, Dual Climate control, Leather, Moonroof, HUD and absolutely everything works great, the paint has a few rust spots, but is still nice and glossy, the transmission shifts great and engine is running strong (May have been rebuilt) It has a new battery, front struts (needs rear), tie rod ends, ball joints, brakes all the way around. The car also could use a new/used exhaust it sounds sweet loud though... I am very happy with these cars... I have a older lady friend of mine with a 97 Grand Prix GT with 170,000 miles in excellent shape, and a new kid I work with has a 2000 Grand Prix GT that just rolled over 200,000 miles. these are GREAT STRONG RUNNING RELIABLE CARS IF YOU TAKE CAR OF THEM. I will continue to buy Grand Prix's years 1997-2003 whenever I can.
