1998 Pontiac Grand Prix GT review from North America
"Meh?"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Heater core blew costing over $900.
Radiator blew at 160,000 miles.
Oil pan gasket is currently leaking.
Intake manifold gaskets blew, causing oil and coolant to mix in the engine, $800 repair.
Steering has had a crick in it since about 80,000 and makes popping noises.
Headlights are both fogged over with condensation.
General comments?
The car was manufactured at the Fairfax plant in Kansas City... and not very well to be honest.
The car is fun to drive, and handles well with the extremely wide track position of the wheels.
Like clockwork, every six months something severely breaks on the car. Overall, I think the quality of the car is average or below average. The only upside is that with a domestic car, I find especially on this one, parts are easier to get to than with my previous Nissan.
