2002 Pontiac Grand Prix SE review from North America
"A good choice for a student"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Recently my automatic lights and fan for the air (and A/C) have stopped working. I think it's a loose wire or a fuse?
The coolant scares me because it changes into a brown color, even after I've replaced it.
My battery failed to recharge, so I purchased a new one.
My "low oil" light goes on periodically, but the oil level is fine.
Sometimes the car fails to start-up, but eventually it does, always.
General comments?
I love being in this car. I feel safe and secure. Switching lanes couldn't be easier.
I wish it didn't have some sorta problem whenever I fix another. The problems aren't usually a big deal though.
My gas mileage is about 18 city, 24 highway. Something around there. I never get less than 16 in stop-and-go driving. I'm pretty easy on the pedal, but flooring the car is so much fun. (rarely happens, only on the highway)
Sometimes I'm going faster than I realize, so I have to constantly look at the speedometer on 20 mph roads.
Overall, I recommend this car as a first car for teenagers or even adults! Just treat it well and it will treat you well in return. You will get attached.. know this because I've named mine :)
