1998 Pontiac Grand Prix GT Coupe review from North America
"Wider is worst, older is better"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Here we go.
2 power steering pumps.
Plastic coolant elbow (dumb design).
Belt tensioner (even dumber design).
Starter.
Valve cover gaskets.
Coolant (Dexcrap) turned into mud at 60,000.
Rain water would collect on passenger floorboard.
A/C worked on full blast only.
Glove box light would stay on (had to disconnect bulb).
A/C started blowing warm, compressor leak.
General comments?
Very sleek and aggressive looks, good performance, nice interior, loved the gold honeycomb wheels!
Good thing I'm a mechanic, this was my worst car. Always loved Grand Prixes, owned an 84, and a 77 model year. 2 great cars.
I dumped this car at the auction. I did not want to sell it to somebody.
All the problems listed above have victimized many other people.
