1995 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP review from North America

What things have gone wrong with the car?
Things that have gone wrong with it... Lemme think. Well first off, my heater hose burst 13 hours after purchasing, my first sign I should have sent it back. This set me back about $550.00 after spending $9500 on it the day before. Then a high-pitched whistle or hum began about 2 months into my ownership, this I was told was my alternator by the fine service counter moron at my local GM dealership. I left this with no repair until it was needed which was about 4 more months. Then the car would not accelerate smoothly. I assumed this was the alternator as the GM rep told me so I had it replaced independently. The humming continued so my mech decided to replace other parts needing fixing: water pump, power steering belt, pulley. He finally diagnosed it and replaced a bearing in the A/C and the noise stopped. I picked the car up, $660.00 later, and drove away. It wasn't until I got up the street a little further when the rough acceleration and bumpy ride returned. I drove the car like this for the past 6 months and finally the car does not start and the problem can only be assumed as the TIMING BELT! I capitalize this because anyone who knows these engines knows that an engine drop is pretty much necessary to fix this problem. I've looked it up in my Hayne's repair manuel and personally counted approximately 120 steps to this repair. So to recap, in one year (12 months) :
Heater hose
Heater fan (didn't mention, but shattered on the hottest summer day)
Power steering belt (cracked)
Water pump (leaking)
Pulley (forget which one)
Alternator
Air intake gasket
A/C bearing
And now the funnest repair of all, the timing belt.
So in keeping this car on the road this past year it has cost me about $1200 and to start off this next year of ownership I'll probably be looking at about $1800 give or (hopefully) take a couple hundred dollars.
Plus the terrible AC Delco CD player which refuses to eject CDs, refuses to play CDs and now decides to turn off and not turn back on until I hit a bump on the road or until I smash my fist mercilessly at it.
General comments?
The car is quick and handles decent, however it is a big car and the tail swings out fairly easily around tight corners. It looks good, but expect repairs to match. The engines run very hot and are terribly hard to fix.
