The first week I had the car,I had to replace the hood cable.
Then about a week after that incident, the back brakes had to be replaced, which I tried to do by myself, but the calipers were locked up. So I had to take it to a shop which cost about $700.00
Just a little note to 1988-1994 Grand Prix owners.. To make your back brakes a little bit easier to change and last a little longer, use your parking brake.
The oil pressure sending unit had to be replaced at 129,000 miles.
Being kind of an expensive car to maintain.
The feeling you get while being behind the wheel makes the expensive up keep of the car worthwhile.
This car has definite get up and go.
For only having a 6 cylinder this car can dust about any mid-size car on the road or at least give it a run for it's money.
The steering is tight and very responsive. The suspension is adequate and quite durable.
The paint however is something less than desirable. It seems like everyday I go to get in the car I discover yet another new chip in the paint.
But all that set aside, the interior design of the car is incredible. Very roomy and the dash is different from any I have ever seen. Very cool!
My 88 won't shift into high gear all the time can you help me please and thanks.
