1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP review from North America
"Great all around high performance luxury sedan"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
No 'problems' thus far.
I have replaced the original battery and struts.
Other 'wear' items replaced by the previous owner were the front rotors and pads, tires, and trans fluid.
The HUD (Heads Up Display) was replaced under warranty by previous owner.
General comments?
I have only owned the car for 5 months and 8,000 miles.
Handling improved noticeably after the struts were replaced.
Very comfortable interior as I'm 6'2" / 260lbs.
Great performance!!! Previous owner 'modded' the car with 3.4" SC pulley, cold air induction kit w/K&N,
Taylor Plug Wires, strut tower braces, 160 degree thermostat, and replaced the U-Bend in the exhaust pipe.
The HUD is addictive.
Radio controls on the steering wheel are very ergonomic and easy to use.
Gas mileage in 'true' city driving (16.8mpg) could be better, but you've got to 'pay to play'! 24mpg highway driving 85+mph.
Car was very well maintained prior to my purchase.
