1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GT review from North America

"Great car for the money"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Tie rods needed replacing around 73000 miles.

Hub and bearing assembly needed replaced on one front wheel at around 75000 miles.

Drivers side window switch needed replaced at around 83000 miles.

Headlights maintain condensation in humid weather or after the car has been washed. I thought Pontiac had fixed this problem by this model year.

General comments?

Overall this is an excellent car that handles nicely and performs flawlessly. Other than the above mentioned problems, nothing else has gone wrong with this car. It has always started even in very cold weather and it has never left me stranded anywhere or anytime. The seats are comfortable, although I would have preferred Pontiac used a better quality of leather on the seats. The car negotiates corners like they are a straight segment of road, and it handles well in adverse weather conditions. The styling is excellent and the car looks sporty and quick. This has to be one of the best Grand Prix's that Pontiac has ever produced.
