1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GT review from North America
"Buyer beware- make sure you have a warranty- you're going to need it!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Passenger side window works when it wants to.
Gets stuck in Park quite often- have to disengage the shift lock by jamming a key in.
Battery & alternator have been replaced twice and the car will still lose all power. Mechanics at shop haven't been able to figure it out. It will run fine for a few weeks than just die.
Transmission no longer shifting smoothly.
A/C only works on Max, will turn off completely if you try to lower it.
Headlights will turn off for no apparent reason.
Rear window defroster only works intermittently.
General comments?
Great car when it actually runs.
This car still looks great! I enjoyed it the first year I've had it, but now I never know when it's going to leave me stranded.
I have two children under the age of 12 and they are already outgrowing the back seat of this car.
I chose this car for it's sporty look, but next time I'm going for reliabililty.
I'd love to buy US but between GM and Dodge I've had nothing but trouble.
I'll be at Toyota for my next purchase!
