2000 Pontiac Montana SV6 Extended Van review from North America
"Luxury edition was nice"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I used to like it a lot... then a couple things went wrong that bother me. When it finally reached 120,000 miles, these things went wrong:
* Transmission needed work ($900)
* A/C isn't cool anymore
* Both front power windows barely go up.
Earlier on, the Power sliding door had a recall, but was fixed by dealer under warranty.
Basically, we've like this Van. It's considered the Luxury model, has On-star, VCR, On-board Air Pump, Running Boards, Tach, Overhead Digital Temp, Compass, and Fuel economy gauge that's always worked. The power sliding door has always worked. The rear power windows have always worked. The 6-way power on both front seats have always worked. We've had its oil changed every 3,000 miles, but totally forgot to change the Transmission fluid at 100k, so the mechanic fussed at us. It's time to move on now, tho.
General comments?
We liked it, but ours was the Luxury edition. I read all the reviews and they aren't good, I see.
