1999 Pontiac Montana review from North America
"Too bad they like losing customers"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
1. A/C rod/pulley went in year 4 (65000 km) ($750 to fix).
2. Paint coming off the hood, GM wouldn't cover it, it's well known that the "primer" GM used was not good enough. Get this, even their "paint/rust" warranty wouldn't cover it since it's GM's fault. GM of course has no comment.
3. Intake gasket went in year 7 (78000 km) ($2000 to fix).
4. Cam sensor went July 5/2008 83000 km ($ TBD)
GM wouldn't do anything for any of these.
General comments?
There has got to be some class action lawsuit going on somewhere... GM cannot simply keep telling people that it's not a defect. Ask any mechanic and they all know of the problem.
If anyone knows of a class action suit, please let me know at s.cauduro@sympatico.ca
