2001 Pontiac Montana review from North America

I purchased this car from an individual who owns a very small dealership. When I went to look at the car, we found that the intake gasket or manifold (forgive I'm not sure which.. it's where you put the oil IN at) needed to have the seal/gaskets redone, the serpentine belt replaced and the radiator flushed (I'm not sure he did that).

Then the day I took it home the service engine light came on, took it to my mechanic whom cleaned out the EGR, changed the oil pressure valve and the fuel pressure regulator, which was cracked and leaking all over the engine. While he was fixing it he found that the wiring was all wrong to the valve control and fixed that (at no additional cost, I love this man!).

I've had the tranny fluid serviced and today the battery died on my while I was getting labwork done, but I found a book in the glovebox stating all that's been done to this vehicle... it had new shocks put on it... and other than usual maintenance that's seems to be all that's been wrong with the vehicle. I've only had it about a month and am happy with it, regardless of its problems... the tranny hesitates a little, but the tranny guy said that it's because of the number of miles on it, but that the tranny still looks good and should be OK for awhile. Let's keep our fingers crossed!
