1999 Pontiac Montana LX review from North America

Water leaks into the interior and behind the roof and dash. The interior get dripped on after it rain through the computer located on the roof of the interior in the front center of the vehicle. The problem first began while still under warranty. This vehicle as been in for repair for this problem six separate times. Wires have been replaced due to corrosion from water. The windshield was replaced. The roof rack was resealed. The windshield was resealed. Twice we were told they could not duplicate the problem and they did nothing. Even though the problem began within the warranty period and has never been resolved, Pontiac tells us that because the car is no longer under warranty they have no obligation to do anything about it. Unfortunately, we have been unable to create the leak on demand and the leak seems to only occur under certain conditions such as heavy rainfall, car being parked at a certain angle, and it is difficult to duplicate the problem. I even brought the car in while it was wet, but to no avail. Pontiac is using this inability to make the vehicle leak on demand as a technicality to refuse to replace the vehicle under the lemon law which requires them to buy back the vehicle if the same problem occurs three times within the warranty period. Customer service at the dealer has been fair, they have made an effort to find and repair the problem. Pontiac is the problem. They refuse to stand behind their product.

I am extremely dissatisfied with Pontiac and the way they treat their customers.
