1996 Porsche 911 993 C4 review from North America
"Beauty and the Beast in one car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
In 10 year of ownership:
1. Maintenance items: brake pads, oil, filters, dist caps and rotors, belts, lots of tires, hood and deck lid shocks, wiper blades, 1 battery
2. Repairs: light switch, AC servo motor, temperature sensor.
General comments?
Last of the air cooled Porshes. Still beautiful None like it. People still razz me for driving a Porsche... even one that's 10 years old, because it looks new.
Takes maintenance to keep it running well, but you hear about 993 air cooled engines going 250K miles.
On the road, you feel like a race car driver... and then later the car is as gentle as a kitten going to the mall.
