The car has been an absolute dream, nothing has gone wrong, the only thing is the wheels have needed replacing a few times and it needs petrol.
There is no other car like this avalable, sure there are Bugatti, Bentleys, Lamborghini and ferrari, but they simply canot match this car for taste and feel.
This is more of a point of view than a review, I doubt that they actually own a 2000 911. I however do and although I'm impressed with the power, sound and roadholding (especially traction) I'm really disapointed with the cabin fittings and cheap feel of the interiour, you'd be surprised how important this becomes over time, especially if your sitting in traffic jams in London heaps. I recently hired an Opel Vectra in Germany and if I closed my eyes and reach out, the fittings felt better than my 1999 911!! Must admit that the Vectra was gutless though!
I'm not sure why you feel the need to question whether the poster actually owns the car being discussed. Who would he be trying to impress, exactly? You?
Anybody who does own a 2000 911 would know that there were significant updates to the interior fittings for MY2000, which would explain why their perception of interior quality is different to yours. So not only does almost certainly own a 911, he owns a better one than you.
As you can probably tell, I don't own a Porsche of any kind. One day...
Personally I agree with the 2nd guys comments about it being more of a general comment than a review. Probably posted by a 15 year old kid with a poster of a porsche behind him fresh from arguing with his school mates on the 'best car in the world'. Isn't the standard 911 owner profile articulate and educated?
I also would like to get a 911 although the committee (wife) says no.
