Nothing at this point other than having to replace the battery (which was around 2 years old).
This is a Euro Spec 911SC and is still fast and takes corners like a go-cart.
I have taken a couple of 2-3 hour trips without feeling any of the normal fatigue you feel in other cars.
The seats and the ride, although sporty in nature, lend themselves to long distance driving.
I have "surprised" a few people with the speed of the car. It is a beautiful sight to see the look of astonishment on their faces as they finally catch up with me only to find out the car is 22 years old and no mods!!
My dad used to have a black 911 SC with a whale tail and Ruf rims, it was my favourite car in the world. We used to drive it around corners like nothing, and the speed, I wouldn't imagine something like that coming from an '83! I'm buying one when I save the money it's a bargain for $25,000 Canadian. Awesome cars can't wait I'm only 16 and I'm already saving, I have close to $4,000 so far.
I am interested in purchasing a Porsche 911.
As a former auto mechanic, when younger I worked on foriegn cars VW, Datsun, Honda, etc. one or two Porsches'.
The last 30 years I have worked in mass transit, buses! For my upcoming retirement I am going to finally hope to purchase my dream car.
Being out of the loop I need some advice, I gather the 3.0 6 cyl. engine is "bulletproof". From what year and model has Porsche kept this engine, and what type of model and options would be fitting for my future rebirth as a young retired mechanic? Hope I can find this car soon. thank you.
