Fuel injection system would not track on fuel mixture.
The Porsche 914 is an awsome car.
The only thing that handles better than a 914 is a motorcycle and that is pretty hard to compete with.
The 914 2.0 has a lot of power for it size. The 2.0 is a torky motor for its size.
Although it doesn't have a large amount of hp it still is a very fast car because its very light.
Like I said before the car handles great, but it won't tolerate an excessive amount of oversteer.
If the car loses traction of the rear wheels it is almost impossible to regain control after a certain point.
But if you keep the car within its limitations it's a rather safe car.
Its also great to be able to take off the targa top and go for a drive to the beach.
The 74 and newer though are even more cramped inside because the beauty packages on certain models.
I had a 74 2.0 also. My mixture problems were caused by a bad fuel pressure regulator. I had black smoke, and no power. Its funny, but I still remember the replacemrnt part price as being $184.61 way back then.
