1985 Porsche 928 S review from North America
"A high performance steal"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
A/C leaks
O2 sensor lead shorted to exhaust heat shield causing near-fire behind fuse panel.
Lots of minor electrical problems - most fairly easy to fix.
Things that don't work and are not easy to fix (for me) - windshield washer system; rear hatch remote latch; seat heater; warning light that comes on every time I turn on the exterior lights indicating an exterior light is burned out; leather is cracked and shrunken in certain locations.
General comments?
Great performance. Few new cars can match the way it drives. Engine and transmission are smooth and tight. Brakes, steering, suspension all great. Maintenance can be expensive and finding a decent mechanic who knows the car can be difficult.
