1983 Porsche 928 "s" review from North America
"An affordable super-car!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
My speedometer failed, and I have yet to repair!
General comments?
The tachometer is very handy when cruising down the freeway. I have a 1983 928s with the 4 speed automatic. While in 4th gear I was cruising at 4200 rpm with pedal to spare. I cannot begin to satisfactorily explain how solid, and secure this car felt. I have owned many fast, and well built cars, but… this 928 is hands down the most fun of any that I have had the pleasure of owning. In some regards I feel a bit spoiled as I am a professional mechanic, and do not have to pay any labor rates!
