What things have gone wrong with the car?
The trans on my 928's both started to slip at about 45000 miles, and if you have had a 928 you will know the money is well worth it. Also if you are thinking about getting one expect to spend a lot of cash on up-keep for the timing belt. If the timing belt goes your motor could blow and that's at least six grand if you have a nice mechanic!
General comments?
This is my favorite car, nothing handles like a porsche 928. I have been the proud owner of this work of art for five years and recently got my 2nd 928 from my mechanic in 2004. Theyr'e the most well thought out cars on the road, for example as you press the gas all the way down you trigger a switch that drops the Porsche from 5th gear to first giving you an extra gear to work with if your really letting the car go.
This is a perfict car for anyone that has the money to keep it in running order and will never disappoint you if you need to smoke the occasional corvette or 17 year old in there Japanese rice-mobile. Have Fun!
