1984 Porsche 944 review from North America
"High performance... High maintenance"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The car is in excellent running condition (and was when I purchased it).
The battery had been recently replaced, but after a month of driving the car I noticed that the brake fluid levels were down, and there were marks where I park. After jacking up the car, it became apparent that the clutch master and slave cylinders needed replacement. $150 later, the new pieces were installed. After that the car has been great.
General comments?
This car is very fast and has seemingly endless amounts of cornering ability. It handles like it is on rails.
My only gripe is that the inside is black and there are almost no lights, so at night it is very hard to find things.
The tachometers are also a cheesy yellow and the speedometer is mechanical and shakes a bit.
