2001 Porsche Boxster S review from North America
"One rolling piece of trash"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I love the Porsche, but there is a time you have such a large loss you need to let it go.
Porsche dealerships can't resolve problems. Transmission trouble, replaced 5k in parts and still have the same issues. Just picked it up from the Porsche dealership and the engine went out 300 miles later.
The Boxster is good for 60k, but after 80k or no warranty you are riding on luck.
I think the more you stay out of the Porsche repair shop, the better the car runs. I just wish it ran good for 110k miles.
Looks like the Boxster is only good for about 60k miles. I should have never bought this car; to think I sold my 98 BMW M3 to get this rolling pile of junk.
General comments?
The car is great. I love the car, it looks great, it has been fun, but at 2500.00 break downs the car has to go. This month 2500, last month 2000.00, and now a head gasket, I've got to get rid of this car at any loss.
