2005 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S review from Mexico
"One of a Kind"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The key suddenly stoped working, it won't allow me to turn on or even open the car, I think the chip got disconnected or something like that. for now I use the spare key.
General comments?
Well, I'm from Dallas Texas where I used to drive a lexus gs400. (that's the bad guy that spoiled me, that's why I'm very picky with the reliability of cars). Right now I'm living in Cancun, Mexico (making a new life in paradise)
when I was looking for a truck I found too many options, but I focused on 2 of them, the vw touareg and the porsche cayenne, since they are almost the same I decided to go for the porsche (only a few extra bucks from one to one), right now I have to make my first scheduled maintenance, and I found it pretty unpleasant to know that I have to wait more than 2 weeks for a god damned oil change and a couple of filters, since they use the same service center for audis and porsches, so I decided to go to the vw dealer and I found that the vw touareg service is like 30% less expensive than mine. right now I don't know what to do. I like the truck, but I hate the cancun's porsche dealer, I don't feel like driving my truck anymore cause every time I turn it, it sounds a big alarm announcing that it needs the service RIGHT NOW!!!
But talking about the truck, it is magnificent, the engine is a jewel has great power you can easily beat any car (something they won't expect from a big SUV), I love all the technology it has a wonderful electronic suspension you just have to move one finger to make your suv higher o lower, I haven't taken it to a 4x4 test because it didn't came with the right tires for that. but I can say that the 4wd worked great when hurrican wilma came down here. if you are going to buy a new SUV and you can sacrifice more money for it, go for it and get the porsche, I always wanted a porsche, but I never had the chance (money) to buy one, now that I worked and saved some money I can buy me one, but not a small super car because I have 2 beautiful daughters and one gorgeous wife, so I had to buy me a big roomy, sports car!.
Like a week ago we got my wifes new car it's an Acura RL, I think I might wait 2 or 3 months to make a review for the car. any way thank you for taking part of your time for reading this review.
