I used to own a Tiara 1.1 GL before. I bought it new in 1997. Had a bit a problem with the car - mainly was overheating problem.

Other wise I did enjoy using the car, consumption was great and the handling was great.

In terms of safety, I crashed my car into a few bamboos and into the ditch at about 90km speed. I walked out safely and the car had to be re-done. At that time the shop costed 17,000 to get it back into one piece.

I traded my car for a Kelisa, and all I can say is I had more fun in the Tiara.

Yeah the parts are expensive but once your learn the car, it's a great car.

I own a Tiara 1.1 GL as a second car for my daughter. The parts are generally quite expensive if you use EU or original Citroen or Peugeot parts. But local, Taiwanese or even China parts can be used in most instances. And these would cost much less. Tiara or Citroen AX is a nice compact car. Always use a mechanic who is well-versed with Citroen or Peugeot cars, especially when you need to open up the engine to fix over-heating problems.
