1986 Renault 11 Auto review from UK and Ireland
"very cheap poor build quality but great runner"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Generally an excellent car, bearing in mind you can buy them for very little these days and there are still a few around. I have owned 2 a D reg GTL manual and a D reg auto. I paid £275 for the GTL and ran it for 2 ½ years £310 for the auto 3 ½ years ago and still going with very little maintenance.
I hate the build quality door catches play up trim comes loose both Speedo cables broke whole construction generally feels cheap and shoddy! But the engines and drive chain just seem unbreakable. In short a near perfect disposable car, buy one cheap and run it as long as you can.

It goes really fast, it's really cheap, it beats Opel/Chevy Corsas.. | |
