2002 Renault Clio Dynamique review from UK and Ireland
"Nice if you like courtesy cars"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I bought the car from new and have had so many problems with it.
The most recent has caused me the most worry. Driving along at 25 mph the driver side airbag exploded. I nearly crashed the car with the shock and I am only grateful that I hadn't made it to the motorway. As the car has passed its warranty Renault have explained that they have no liability. Has anyone else had this problem?
The engine management light has been on for most of the time I have had the car and each time I have taken it in to Renault they have claimed that there is nothing wrong and turn the light off. Within 100 miles of driving the light is back on.
Whilst under warranty I have had two new computer management systems put in (normally £1000 each time)
Also the coils have been replaced 3 times.
In short the car has caused more trouble than its worth.
General comments?
Looks nice but has far too many problems that Renault are not willing to take responsibilty for.
