"A true pocket rocket which in unknown"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

The wheel bearings have gone three times which I think was due to the amount of wheel-spin which occurs. The clutch has just been diagnosed as worn and the timing is out slightly. Besides that the car has been fine and smooth.

General comments?

In standard form the car is quite quite and smooth. The fuel economy is great with performance to match (approx 110bhp).

After having a stage one conversion on the engine the car changed dramatically. The smoothness disapeared and was replaced with crazy power and increased revs. This made the car much more fun to drive with an extra 35bhp and a raised rev limiter this car can seriously be a fun toy. The fuel consumption however has been compromised considerably.

The exhaust has been replaced with a full custom 4inch straight through stainless steel pipe. This has made the car very loud, but also help the car breath a lot better complimenting the pipercross induction kit with cold air feed.

With the car being 8v it may have less bhp than the 16v, but the torque figures are much more impressive than the 16v and Williams.

This car has shown 148bhp @ the wheels & completed a 14.72 1/4 mile @101mph.

The car is also group 10 insurance. Not bad for a car that is 2 sec slower than a ferrari.

Hey I own a Clio RSI and have been looking at engine tuning for a while. I have been looking around and cannot find anyone who does the engine stage one kit, any contact information for such companies would be useful. 148bhp? Your Clio must be fast! Thanks, Steve. (sethion33@hotmail.com)

You're right, a true pocket rocket. I love the go cart feel it has when I drive it, but just recently my front 2 suspension in cylinders are leaking, so I took it to a garage and he has said that this is a main dealer part only, because it needs to be 20% stronger in that model, and has told me to replace the cylinders with air ones instead. I just wanna know if this is correct?

Thanx.
