First engine started to rattle and got replaced.
Second engine started to rattle and got replaced.
Third engine started to rattle - in process of deciding what action to take.
Rear window heating bars broke twice.
Brake disks physically stick, making you have to apply many revs to free them. Replaced once, new set are just as bad, but they want to charge me to replace them this time.
Car unlocks itself - has happened many times over the three years. Renault say they cannot find the fault.
Seats wear badly.
I have been in continual contact with Renault, trying to get these problems sorted - many of which are still to date outstanding.
Have tried to get a replacement, but they will not play ball.
How can such a large car manufacturer shrug off responsibility in this way.
Seriously consider buying a Renault Clio.
I agree with this I have had many cars cheap and cheerful and expensive and powerful Subaru WRX audi S4 BMW 328 every gti imaginable in my younger days the worst being a 205 gti after this I swore never to buy another French scrapheap even though I loved the 5 turbo and gta's. You get good and bad cars no matter what make, granted, more renaults and other junk like this fall to bits generally quicker than an Audi or Bmw, However I know people that hav had more problems with new vw'S etc than my girlfreinds fiat punto with 120000 miles on the clock so when you buy any car look at it properly cos my current car Clio V6 is nothing, but trouble, and renault in my opinion are useless and if there is no fault code on the computer they are stuck and if you pay 26 grand for a car you expect it to be well built not designed on a fag packet and thrown together. The dealer recently admited that my front brake pad had cracked down the centre and it was due to a defective pad, but renault warranty or customer services would not take responsibility for this failing of the main safety device the car has been in the garage more than I care to remember and usually the fault is not remedied. that's my winge for today!
Sorryabout punctuation i was annoyed
PS. if you are thinking of buying a Renault don't you would be better off with a Lada!
