1995 Renault Clio RSi review from UK and Ireland
"Solid, fast and practical"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Renault's tend to be afflicted with overheating and my Clio was no different.
The fan failed to come on when stuck in traffic, but it was just the fuse - still, I always had to make sure I had a few spare fuses before a long journey or through cities.
Leaking Sunroof and central locking sensor.
Central locking only works when right beside car anyway!
CD players are temperamental at the 45 degree angle they are set in at.
General comments?
Not as fast as the 16v, but not as expensive to insure either - 90% of the performance of the 16v for a fraction of the cost and half the insurance costs.
Most comfortable seats I have ever sat in.
Extended dash with oil pressure dials etc. is a nice feature.
Disc brakes all round are excellent feature.
