1995 Renault Clio Williams 3 review from UK and Ireland
"The legend is deserved, but costly to run"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Plenty of small faults became very expensive & expensive to fix.
General comments?
The much talked about williams handleing & performance does live up to is legendary reputation, but it is at a cost. The car is victim of the bad old days of renault build quality. Small problems and routine maintenance (the dreaded cambelt) cost a lot, but so often further things go wrong in the process. Both my 16v 2ltr conversion & the Wiliams 3 have been moderatly reliable, but the problems and expense come when you try to repair or maintain.
Also its difficult to drive in heavy traffic due to the rapidly rising temperature when you stop in traffic.
A brilliant w/e or track day car, but not that practical for big mileage day to day use.
