1995 Renault Clio RT review from UK and Ireland

Terrible leak in sunroof, but that only started at the end of 2005.

Pulls to the left slightly.

Ive had this car just over a year now, and considering its over 10 years old I can only be very pleased with its performance and reliability.

It hasnt let me down once in all the time ive had it. The only problem is the leak in the sunroof, which pours down over my legs and crotch everytime I take a left.

I enjoy filling the tank up to the brim and trying to find out just how many miles I can get out of it. My best effort so far is 320 miles, or translated to fit my life, thats 2 whole weeks driving to work at 15 miles each way, which is good.

The seats are more comfy than most modern cars and the gear changes are smooth.

One last thing about the car is the fact that for about 10 months of the time that I was driving it, I didnt have any coolant in the engine. And I mean none. The little coolant filler bottle under the bonnet was bone dry and making a hissing noise the whole time but I never realised what it was for :) And the car is still running extremely well and it never caused any problems, so this car can take a bit of abuse. (or gross negligence..)

I am currently considering upgrading to a '99 model Clio, but it will be reluctant as I think the shape of the '95 Clios was/is far better.
