1998 Renault Kangoo rt review from Netherlands
"A life saver..."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Slightly crumpled bodywork...
General comments?
Just came across my own survey I wrote 1 and a 1/2 year ago... and wanted people to know that a year afterwards... my mother rolled the trusty little 1200 on the motorway, after having had to ram it into the guard rail first.
And it saved her life! Without a mere scratch.
No ABS, no front or side airbags, only seatbelt pre-tensioners.
Engine running, radio playing, it landed back on its wheels.
Good-bye little friend...
It was immediately replaced by a much more powerful 1600, with all the safety kit (wouldn't want to tempt fate again) and air conditioning, that at least will enable to get out of an emergency situation more quickly.
Has been running for 6 months and 5000kms without any trouble, anyway.
