1997 Renault Laguna RT Estate review from UK and Ireland
"Nice looking bag of rubbish"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Heater blower resistor blown=£70 (fitted myself).
Tailgate catch worn (door would not shut).
Immobilizer light flashing continuously (car would not start, this happened twice so far, expensive!).
Rear fog telltale light comes on when indicating right and braking.
Rain leaking into rear passenger foot wells.
General comments?
Although this car had done a lot of miles when I bought it, it is the lowest mileage car I have owned and have had more trouble and expense with this than all of my other cars (Fords and Vauxhalls) put together.
This was my first Renault and definitely the last.
My local Renault dealers are the most arrogant people I have ever had to talk to. They never ring me back, they don't let me know when the car is ready to pick up. They don't do what they charge you for, then charge you for things you don't need. The invoices are full of errors (i.e my name and reg number). They accuse you of not giving them your phone number instead of admitting they lost it.
