The rear door seal developed a leak shortly after taking ownership.
The heater matrix started to leak after 3000 miles, this had clearly been bodged previously by someone with Rad-weld. Sadly i didnt pick this up when inspecting the car, and this was not covered by the warranty. Cost £191 to replace, including fitting and VAT
The gearbox is notchy.
There is an unidentified oil leak on the engine from one of the pipes. I personally feel this is a ring problem, but the dealer will not acknowledge this.
Considering many peoples comments about the performance of the 1.8, I feel it is quite sprightly. Good for 120 MPH and it accelerates well. Driven normally it returns 35 to 37 MPG. I have no problems towing my caravan with it, though it requires a degree of clutch slipping in order to avoid clutch judder when setting off with a large weight being towed (1200 Kg).
The car is extremely comfortable , and whilst the cloth trim is wearing slightly on the drivers seat edge everything else is working and performing perfectly.
I was quite disappointed by the lack of cup holders in such a large family saloon (none), and also by the failure of the heater matrix at such a low mileage.
I've had my laguna 4 4 yrs and not had 1 problem with it returns good miles on fuel first time starter if it blew up 2 day id go n buy another one straight away.
